Chillaxin CAP #2

January 22, 2020

We opened our workshop with drumming and an icebreaker, silent birthday line up. Our workshop was condensed with a mini lesson on ''What is CO2'' followed by a power point presentation on ''What about plastic'' given by ACT (acting on climate together) Group member. We then had activities to separate various kinds of plastic based on usage value of each item, and also to separate items based on recycling categories.

We all drove down to the film at Bridge River community near by. It depicted how communities were protesting recourse extractions threatening the environment and it also featured the plight of murdered and missing indigenous women and girls (MMIWG) throughout Canada. After the film, many community reps shared their passionate reactions on these topics.
