Welcome to QNW Youth Changemaker Blog!

From Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 2017 the Quebec Native Women Inc. Youth Coordinator, Wahiakatste (Wahi) Diome-Deer, is participating in the  8th International Human Rights Educations Conference and Equitas Youth Changemakers Forum in Montréal, QC. Throughout the multi-day gathering, Wahi is participating in a variety of activities and events on the topic of human rights education. 

The Youth Changemakers forum aims to engage youth in exploring human rights issues and identifying strategies to combat discrimination and exclusions while promoting respect for diversity. Throughout the forum, many of the discussions will be centured around the ‘Community Action Projects’ (CAP) of the participating organizations. Working in collaboration with the other forum participants, Wahi will be refining the QNW CAP Action Plan (the new QNW LGBTQI+/Two-Spirited Includive Policy).
